Our Mission is to provide love, security and professional treatment for troubled children and their families through a fully integrated program of services.
As a residential treatment center, St. Vincent Home provides care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for abused and neglected children with moderate to severe emotional problems, behavior disorders, and/or learning disabilities.
Serving children ages 6 - 18, St. Vincent Home provides loving care, housing, nutritious meals, clothing and therapy (individual, group and family) and is licensed to care for up to 36 children at a time. These children are referred to St. Vincent’s through the Children’s Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Court, Missouri Alliance for Children and Families and other case managers.
The State of Missouri provides approximately 65% of the funding necessary for the children in our care. The balance comes from a variety of sources, including friends, alumni, foundations, corporations and United Way.
St. Vincent's also operates an Emergency Shelter Program to serve children and families in crisis who live in the City of St. Louis. Participants who receive these services, funded by the St. Louis Mental Health Board, are self-referred.
In addition, St. Vincent School provides individualized special education and counseling for children with learning disabilities as well as emotional and behavior disorders.
St. Vincent Home is licensed by the Missouri Division of Social Services and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services (COA). COA maintains the highest national standards for Residential Treatment Centers.
